Bake What Yo’ Mama Gave Ya Brownies
I’ve always been told I make the best baked goods. What people don’t know is that my mother is the reason I can make finger licking concoctions. Her baked goods are legendary in our family. If you need a wedding cake no problem Mama can make it! Do you need baked treats for school? No problem, Mama can make it! Would you like a holiday dessert spread? No problem, Mama will make it! Without her ingenuity dessert would have been lackluster. Nobody made a moister chocolate cake than my mom. Here are her tricks used in a to-die-for brownie recipe.
Yield: 32 regular square brownies or 64 mini brownies
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate squares
4 oz. butter/oil
1 ½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white chocolate chips
6 oz. whipped cream cheese
Pinch of salt
Add any other mixins you would like when you add the chocolate chips. If you’re a fan of nuts go ahead and sprinkle them all in! (Do not add any extra liquid. If you want some orange chocolate brownies use orange zest instead of the juice.)
Sub any portion of the butter/oil for cannabutter/oil to reach your desired potency. Use prepared/activated concentrates i.e., distillate to medicate your brownies. Make sure to cut them into 64 mini brownies to dose properly.
Preheat the oven to 350° and line a 13 x 9-inch pan with wax paper and pan spray. Set aside.
Grab a small sauce pot and add the butter and the chocolate. Use medium heat to melt them. Gently stir the mixture with a silicone spatula until it is completely melted and thoroughly blended. Turn off the heat and set aside to cool.
Add eggs, sugar, cream cheese, vanilla and salt to a mixing bowl. Beat together. Stir in the chocolate mixture. Sift the flour and fold in. Add the white chocolate chips.
Pour the batter in the prepared pan and spread out evenly. Bake until set, about 30 minutes. The brownies will be moist not wet. Cool in the pan.
Invert using a cookie sheet or a cooling rack to unmold. Remove the wax paper, invert again and cut into squares.
*4 oz. = 8 tablespoons = 24 teaspoons
*choose your cannabutter/oil for the potency that you need. If your cannbutter/oil is too potent to use large quantities sub regular butter for the portion that is left.
