I absolutely love Golden Milk. Drinking it brings about comforting relaxation. Like a warm hug in a cup for an achy body after a long day. Enjoy this anytime of day or have it for a nightcap!
Yield: 1 serving
¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 oz of coconut milk or coconut beverage
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Raw honey to taste
A pinch of ground black pepper
A pinch of sunflower or soy lecithin powder or a ¼-1 teaspoon of liquid lecithin
Whisk or immersion blender
Substitute whole milk or any type of non-dairy milk for the coconut milk.
Spice it up with a pinch of cardamom and a dash of vanilla extract.
Add some caffeine with a tablespoon of matcha green tea powder.
To speed up the process, add all your ingredients (make sure your milk is already hot) to a travel mug and shake vigorously until combined. Shake from time to time to keep the mixture homogenous.
Use canna coconut oil/ghee or a prepared cannabis concentrate, i.e., distillate to medicate this recipe. Add it with the other ingredients in the pot. (use as much as you need to reach your required dose)
Heat the milk in a small sauce pot/pan.
Before the milk boils, turn off the heat or remove from burner.
Add ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, honey, lecithin, coconut oil to the milk (if using, add canna coconut oil, matcha, cardamom and vanilla here).
Whisk gently or use an immersion blender in the pot until it becomes foamy on top.
Pour into your mug and enjoy!
