Black Eyed Saucy Susan

Hailing from the Preakness and named after the Maryland state flower, this sweet, citrusy beverage is your own personal wedge to a hot, and humid summer day!

Ingredients

1 ounces whiskey

1 ounces vodka

2 ounces orange juice

1 ounce pineapple juice

2 ounces peach & lemon simple syrup

Simple Syrup

4 ounces of peach slices

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of lemon zest

Equipment

Cocktail shaker

Small sauce pot

Chinois or fine mesh strainer

Blender

Optional 

Sub your whiskey for non-alcoholic whiskey and opt out the vodka.

Sub tequila for the whiskey and vodka. 

Garnish your drink with an orange slice and maraschino cherry. 

Medicate It

Use a tincture, glycerite or a prepared cannabis concentrate, i.e., distillate to medicate this recipe.

How To

Blend peaches until smooth. Add them to this simple syrup recipe. Once the syrup has finished, add the lemon zest and juice, stirring to incorporate. Strain your simple syrup into your desired container using a chinois or fine mesh strainer. Store in fridge.

Add all ingredients into a shaker glass with ice. Shake vigorously to incorporate. Pour into a glass.
